Packaging is an art born many years ago that, however, keeps evolving. In this article we will review the six points that are keys to achieve an original and personalized packaging.

1. It is recognizable.

Nothing is more basic, and yet more important than the fact that packaging is recognizable. The user should be able, immediately, to recognize your brand through packaging. To do this, information must be visible and must contain all packaging identity information.

2. It is functional.

Packaging is no longer a purely visual item, and has evolved into an increasingly functional and interactive element. Therefore, the consumer has now an interest in touching the product, not only because it draws attention, but because it contains inside features that go beyond those of the typical container.

3. It justifies the price of the containing product.

Packaging is a visual element of enormous importance, and, depending on the product being sold, is the only differentiating factor with our competitors. Therefore it is vital that its image is consistent with the product being sold. Packaging must be able to communicate if the product is simple or, on the contrary, if it is focused on a more demanding public (an expensive bottle of wine or liquor).

Packaging brand image must show its target population. A young audience will be attracted by bright colors. Young people usually seek innovation, and a senior public choose a classic design, with large, clear letters and duller colors.

5. It improves savings.

Crisis has greatly affected the purchasing and consumption habits of customers. Austerity, cost containment and elimination of superfluous elements are seeping deep into the new packaging design. Thus, simplicity is the new form of expression of elegance and purity.

6. It is respectful with the environment.

Not just because the law agrees to meet certain material requirements. Environmental awareness necessary to seek new ways to enhance the object you want to sell and, at the same time, do it in a respectful way with our environment.
